You are invited to Mt. Pleasant Citizen’s Climate Lobby’s January 14th meeting, 4:00-5:30 p.m. at the Isabella Country Commission on Aging, 2200 S. Lincoln Rd. Feel free to bring a friend.
How to be effective in uncertain times:
- We meet new and returning members who are motivated to act on their concerns for the impacts of climate change.
- We combine our own deep wells of good ideas with CCL’s amazing resources and devise exciting plans to strengthen local concern, facilitate local adoption of sustainability goals, and increase effective communication with lawmakers at all levels.
- We act. Action is the antidote to despair. CCL acts respectfully, appreciatively, and relentlessly, not because we’re Pollyannas or naïve, but because we believe that that behavior strengthens everyone’s humanity and leads to more constructive results. 100% of actions not taken end in failure.
If you haven’t already made this call, please treat yourself—any Wednesday, 8:00 p.m. Eastern time: https://citizensclimatelobby.org/join-weekly-intro-call/ for a brief history of the group, its methodology, and a chance to ask your questions.
